The support block consists of a precision high-carbon steel bearing pressed into a thin fiber-reinforced plastic housing. A unique design feature is that the bearing flange is flush with the rear surface of the housing. When the block is mounted to a flat surface, the bearing is completely clamped, eliminating axial play and ensuring stable shaft operation under load.
The compact size and standard goBILDA 16 mm hole pattern make this block a versatile solution for robotics. Additional central holes with an 8 mm pitch allow for dense arrangements of mechanisms. The block geometry is designed so that when installed end to end, the distance between shaft centers is exactly 24 mm, which is ideal for gear center distances.
- Weight: 5.4 g (each)
- Internal Diameter (Bore): 8 mm (for REX or round shaft)
- Housing Material: Fiber-reinforced plastic
- Bearing Material: High-carbon steel
- Mounting Pattern: goBILDA 16 mm and 32 mm
- Quantity per package: 2 pcs.
These blocks are an excellent solution for systems based on 8 mm REX shafts, where you need to create a reliable support inside the channel or on the beam plane, without increasing the dimensions of the mechanism. Reinforced plastic combines lightweight construction with high compressive strength and vibration resistance.
M4 screws are recommended for installation. To ensure perfect alignment when using a pair of blocks on a single shaft, first install the shaft in the bearings and then fully tighten the mounting screws to the frame.
