The 2320 Series gears are designed for high-torque applications. The extended barrel increases the contact area with the shaft, ensuring precise, play-free rotation. Two tie bolts secure the gear to the 8mm REX shaft, creating an extremely secure connection without damaging the shaft surface. The underside of the gear features a built-in shimming, allowing it to be mounted flush against the bearing without contact with its outer race.
The gear geometry is optimized for use with the 1120 Series U-Channel profile: when installed 1.5 mm from the inner wall, perfect tooth engagement is achieved. The pinion is surface treated with titanium nitride (TiN), which significantly reduces friction and provides exceptional wear resistance comparable to industrial cutting tools.
- Weight: 21 g (with fasteners)
- Number of teeth: 24
- Module: MOD 1
- Bore profile: 8mm REX
- Material: Steel
- Coating: Titanium Nitride
- Clamping type: Pinch bolt
The pinion is compatible with all goBILDA system components using 8mm REX shafts. Ideal for creating rotary transmission assemblies and compact angular gearboxes where maximum reliability and durability are required.
For optimal engagement in a 43 mm wide bore, 1611 series flange bearings are recommended. When installing a bearing within the bore, add a 0.5 mm washer between the gear and bearing to maintain a 1.5 mm clearance. When assembling a pair of gears, use heavy grease to minimize noise and heat at high speeds.
