Worm: is made of stainless steel and is designed for a 6 mm D-profile shaft. When installed in the 1120 series U-shaped channel, radial and thrust bearings can be placed on either side of the worm, using the entire 43 mm internal channel width for axial location. If the shaft is shorter than required to support the worm, an additional D-shaft can be used and secured with an M5 worm screw to support the far end under load.
Worm Gear: Made of brass, the worm gear rotates 28 times slower than the worm. It features 28 teeth and a standard 16mm goBILDA® pattern for selecting the output shaft diameter and profile. The worm gear is designed so that the worm gear cannot drive the worm.
