The kit consists of a 14-tooth pinion gear and a 28-tooth driven gear, creating a 2:1 gear ratio. The system is most often used as a step-down gearbox to increase torque, but can also be used as an overdrive gearbox to increase output shaft speed. The driven gear is designed with clearance for hubs up to 32 mm in diameter.
The pinion gear has a 6mm D-Bore profile, which ensures a secure fit on D-shaped shafts and prevents rotation under load. The driven gear mounts to a standard 16mm pattern, allowing for easy integration into goBILDA builds using a variety of hub types.
