Strafer® Chassis Kit (104mm GripForce™ Mecanum Wheels)

Build a chassis that can move in any direction!
The kit includes high-torque 312 RPM planetary motors, GripForce™ Mecanum wheels, and every part required to assemble a rigid, low-profile, and easily customizable chassis you can tune to your needs.

GripForce™ Mecanum Wheels
GripForce™ Mecanum wheels are dialed-in for maximum traction on the soft foam tiles of the FIRST Tech Challenge field. Their tread pattern delivers quick acceleration and braking, and the 104 mm diameter strikes the perfect balance of speed and power when paired with the 312 RPM motors.

Motors
Four 5203-series planetary gearmotors with 8 mm shafts are built into the chassis frame. They drive steel miter gears and reinforced shafts, providing low friction and smooth movement in every direction. With these motors and wheels, the theoretical top speed reaches 5.57 ft/s.

Miter Gears
Ninety-degree steel miter gears let you tuck the motors neatly into the chassis corners. A titanium finish adds strength, and a robust locking design eliminates slippage.

Shafting
8 mm motor and chassis shafts deliver a powerful, dependable drivetrain. The minimized part count boosts overall reliability.

Frame
The chassis is built on goBILDA® 1120 Series U-Channel, whose repeating hole pattern makes it simple to relocate components, wheels, and cross-members for any application.

Premium Hardware
The kit uses Grade 12.9 high-strength screws with nylon locking inserts. They hold everything securely yet back out cleanly for reuse whenever you need to reconfigure.
