Belt-Driven Actuator
A timing belt adds simplicity and consistency to the mechanism’s work. Unlike cable systems, the belt does not need a constant spring tensioner and keeps the same tension on every cycle.
Mounting
The kit bolts easily to any goBILDA® structure. The flanged end has a hole-and-thread grid that lets you solidly attach other parts—ServoBlocks™, U-Channel, and more.
Any Direction & Long Stroke
Stable linear motion lets you extend the actuator in any orientation. Maximum extension length is 976 mm (38.4"), while the nested length is a compact 384 mm (15.1").
Motor Compatibility
You can fit whichever motor you prefer. The 1201-0043-0005 Pattern Mount and 8 mm REX™ Sonic Hub pair perfectly with goBILDA® 5203 Yellow Jacket motors.
Adjustable Stroke Length
Driven by a 60-tooth GT2 pulley—120 mm of travel per motor revolution. Full extension requires about 8.1 motor-shaft revolutions.
The recommended fastest motor is the 13.7 : 1 (435 RPM) gear ratio. With it, all four stages deploy in roughly 1.2 seconds. Because of the high speed, we advise using the 5203-series motor encoder for precise start- and end-position control.
