This 3417 Series pulley features an 8mm REX profile bore that perfectly matches the shaft shape to create a direct positive drive. This design eliminates the risk of the pulley spinning on the shaft, even under extreme loads. A pair of set screws securely locks the pulley, preventing axial movement along the shaft during operation.
The pulley is made of high-quality aluminum with a clear anodized finish. A design feature is integrated shims on both sides, allowing the pulley to rest directly against the bearing while maintaining the required clearance to the bearing outer race. This simplifies the assembly of dense mechanical assemblies without the use of additional spacers.
- Weight: 28 g
- Material: Aluminum
- Coating: Clear Anodized
- Number of teeth: 16
- Tooth pitch: 5 mm (HTD)
- Mounting hole: 8mm REX™
- Compatible belt width: up to 9 mm
Thanks to the HTD profile, the pulley provides smooth engagement and high positioning accuracy, which is critical for linear motion systems and robotic drives. The presence of flanges ensures that the belt remains in the working area even during intense reversing movements.
When mounted on an 8mm REX shaft, the bore profile bears the entire rotational load, so the set screws serve only for axial locking. For maximum reliability under vibration, the use of a medium-strength thread locker is recommended.
