LEGO® Education SPIKE® Essential engages elementary school students and immerses them in hands-on STEAM learning. As part of the LEGO Learning System, this playful, story-driven learning experience allows children to explore STEAM concepts while developing literacy, math, and social-emotional skills.
This 449-piece set includes 4 minifigures with different personalities who act as storytellers, making problem-solving accessible and relatable for every child. Creative projects come to life thanks to block coding with icons and words, and simple hardware: a smart hub with 2 ports, two mini motors, a light matrix, and a color sensor. Age-appropriate LEGO bricks, replacement elements, and a durable box with colorful inserts make building and classroom organization easy.
As part of the LEGO Learning System, SPIKE Essential offers 5 modules with 8 standards-aligned STEAM lessons. Each lesson includes online instructions, math and language extensions, assessment materials, and video support for teachers.
