The FIRST® LEGO® League Discover program includes all the educational materials educators and facilitators need to conduct a series of 10 sessions, during which young students explore Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) through play. These sessions help develop self-confidence, a learning mindset, and teamwork skills, building upon children's natural curiosity.
Within the UNEARTHED™ Challenge (premiere scheduled for August 5, 2025), FIRST® LEGO League teams will 'dig up' the past to discover the future.
At first glance, the LEGO Education product line might seem complex. But first impressions are deceiving. LEGO has achieved the impossible – merging play with the beloved construction set and the educational process. The unique sets in the LEGO Education line are a symbiosis of regular LEGO bricks and high-tech components like sensors, transmitters, resistors, motors, interactive microcomputers, and more. All of this can be explored with the help of specially designed lessons.
LEGO Education encompasses educational and developmental sets for children aged 2 to 18. These range from small sets with thematic tasks like 'find a specific color' to programmable sets using electronic apps that demonstrate concepts like solar energy, servo motor operation, or scientific experiments from the world of exact sciences.
The LEGO Education series includes a wide variety of sets. Some consist of standard bricks, others contain various gears, and there are separate ones with motors and sensors. What unites them is not only the educational element but also the quality of every part. When you purchase them, you can be confident that the pieces won't break during assembly and that the devices will connect and function reliably for a long time. This is thanks to our partnership with the LEGO company, which checks every part at the factory and continuously improves to bring even more joy to fans.

The FLL Discover program introduces preschoolers to the world of science and physics (ages 4-6).
When young children experience STEM through playful, hands-on activities, they ignite their natural curiosity, increase their knowledge, and develop learning skills.
When educators nurture these innate scientists, they build a bridge between the real world, STEM, language, and literacy.
What is FIRST LEGO League Discover?
FIRST LEGO League Discover is an introductory, playful STEM program for teams of children aged 4-6, which sparks their natural curiosity and builds habits of learning through hands-on activities in the classroom and at home using LEGO® DUPLO bricks.
Upon completing the program, children become more confident, better equipped to face future life challenges, and discover the joy of learning.
How does it work?
Each year, teams of up to 4 children worldwide receive a new and exciting Season Challenge related to a real-world problem. Throughout the season, the children explore this challenge and, using the exclusive season's Discovery set as a starting point, develop their own model solution with LEGO® DUPLO bricks.
While working, children learn to understand given tasks and apply the knowledge they gain to solve problem situations.
Throughout their work, teams engage with the FIRST Core Values, celebrating discovery and teamwork, all while having fun!
At the end of the program, teams present their solutions, sharing their experiences, achievements, knowledge, creative ideas, and STEM skills at a vibrant celebration.
