Description
SR-GEARBOX-36-01-01 SWYFT Spike FTC Planetary Gearmotors - 1:1 Ratio is a SWYFT Spike series drive with a single-stage planetary gearbox operating in direct drive mode (1:1). This configuration allows the full speed of the motor to be used without conversion, which is ideal for applications where maximum RPM is required and increased torque is not a priority.
Key Features and Specifications:
- Maximum Speed: The 1:1 gear ratio provides direct transmission of engine RPM to the output shaft. Output speed is ~6000 RPM with a torque of ~1.47 kg·cm.
- Single-stage planetary gear (direct): Effectively acts as a clutch, providing a reliable connection between the motor shaft and the output shaft, protecting the motor from side loads and providing standard mounting points.
- Versatility: Ideal for ultra-high-speed flywheel launch systems that require extreme RPM, high-speed cooling fans, as well as for drives where minimal inertia and instant response are important.
- Compatibility and mounting: The case is equipped with standard M4 and M3 mounting patterns for easy integration with REV and goBILDA components, as well as additional M4 holes for side mounting.
- Output flexibility Shaft:Comes standard with a 7mm hex socket. A 5mm adapter is available for use with REV Motion components.
- FTC Compatible: Officially approved for use in FIRST Tech Challenge competitions.
Technical Specifications:
- Gear Ratio: 1:1
- Output Speed: ~6000 rpm (nominal motor speed)
- Output Torque: ~1.47 kg·cm (motor torque)
- Gearbox Type: Planetary Clutch / Direct Drive, 1 Stage
- Motor Type: SWYFT Spike (nominal voltage 12V, no-load current 0.4A max)
- Encoder: 2-channel quadrature, 28 PPR, compatible with 3.3V and 5V.
For whom: For FTC teams developing specialized high-speed mechanisms, such as high-power throwing systems (flywheels), where maximum achievable RPM is critical and there is no need for additional torque.
