Robits Mecanum Chassis No Wheels 13.7:1 NeveRest Hex

The Robots Mecanum Chassis (am-5635_NW14) is a ready-made power frame designed for high speed movement. The lack of wheels in the kit allows the team to flexibly select the diameter and type of Mecanum wheels depending on the robot's weight and tasks.

Features of this configuration:

• High-Speed Motors: The installed NeveRest Hex motors with a 13.7:1 reduction ratio provide fast acceleration and a high top speed. This is the preferred option for creating dynamic and lightweight robots.
• Hex Shaft: Using motors with a Hex output ensures reliable wheel locking and eliminates the risk of shaft slippage, even during abrupt changes in direction of movement.
• Design Freedom: The frame has a wide central opening, which is ideal for placing grippers, storage devices, or elevators that require free space inside the base.
• Maneuverability: The chassis geometry is optimized for the installation of Mecanum wheels, which allows for full omnidirectional movement (strafe, spin on the spot).

This configuration is especially recommended when using 3-inch BB Mecanum wheels to create the fastest and most compact drive system for FIRST Tech Challenge competitions.
