This kit will help your robot accurately determine its position on the FTC field. The set includes two Swingarm Odometry Pods, a Pinpoint controller, and all necessary mounts and cables for connection to a REV Control Hub. Installation is straightforward—plug it in and start working right away.
The Swingarm Pack is ideal for chassis with large wheels, for example with a diameter of about 140 mm (such as the Mecanum Wheel Strafer™), thanks to the greater suspension travel that provides extra ground clearance. If your wheels are roughly 96–104 mm in diameter, consider the more compact 4-Bar Odometry Pack.
Pinpoint Odometry Computer
The Pinpoint controller is purpose-built for easy odometry hookup and operation. It rapidly transmits robot-position data to the driver controller over I²C. Almost everything is pre-configured—just specify the module type and where they are mounted on the robot.
With a processing rate of 1500 Hz, Pinpoint gathers data far more precisely and quickly than other systems that run at 100–300 Hz. This lets you drive faster while keeping high positional accuracy. The controller is compatible with goBILDA® Odometry Pods and any other systems that use quadrature encoders.
Swingarm Odometry Pods
Developed from goBILDA®’s FTC experience, these modules perform excellently on the soft foam tiles of the field. High-traction omni wheels, gearless contactless encoders, and precisely tuned spring tension make them easy to use—no extra distance tuning required. Just bolt them to the robot and go.
The pods fit 1120 Series U-Channel and are perfect for chassis with large wheels and high ground clearance.
