Description
REV-41-1742 45mm U Channel - 408mm is a long (408mm) aluminum U-channel with a 45x45mm square cross-section. Designed to seamlessly integrate with the REV Robotics ecosystem, this channel gives FTC engineering teams the ability to create extremely long, rigid, and load-bearing structures. It is ideal for forming the main chassis frame, long beams, large manipulator frames and other critical components where deformation resistance and overall strength are critical.
Key Features:
- Extreme Structural Rigidity: The U-shape combined with the 408 mm length provides maximum resistance to bending and torsion, which is necessary for creating heavy-duty and large-sized structural components.
- Full REV Compatibility: Integrates with the REV 15mm Extrusion system, allowing the profile to be combined with other components to create complex, modular and durable structures.
- Extended Motion Pattern: The side faces of the profile are equipped with holes with a 16 mm pitch for M3 fasteners, which allows for convenient and flexible installation of brackets, additional extrusions, bearings, shafts, motors, and servos.
- Cost-effective mounting: The slots on the top plane accept standard M3 hex nuts and bolts, eliminating reliance on expensive T-nuts.
- Versatility: Ideal for robot main frames, long elevator tracks, chassis load-bearing members, and other structures where exceptional length and increased strength are required.
- 408 mm (approx. 16.1 in) length: One of the longest standard lengths in the line, allowing for minimal joints and the creation of monolithic, ultra-robust load-bearing members.
Best for: Advanced FTC teams using the REV Robotics platform designing robots with the largest or most extreme load-bearing structures. This profile is the choice for those who do not compromise on the strength and durability of the frame.
