SR-GEARBOX-36-3-139 SWYFT Spike FTC Planetary Gearmotors - 139:1 Ratio is a variant of the SWYFT Spike series of power drives with a gearbox that has a maximum gear ratio of 139:1. This configuration is designed for applications requiring very high torque at relatively low output speeds, such as heavy-duty elevators, winches, crane joints, or other highly loaded systems.
Key Features and Specifications:
- Extreme Torque: The 139:1 gear ratio converts high motor RPMs into tremendous force at the output shaft. The rated output torque is approximately 204.33 kgf·cm.
- Low Output Speed: At the motor's rated 6,000 rpm, the gearbox output speed is approximately 43 rpm, which is ideal for slow yet powerful movements.
- Triple-Stage Planetary Gearbox: The three-planetary gear stage design provides high efficiency, compact size, and the ability to handle heavy loads.
- Versatile Mounting Points: Features M4 and M3 mounting patterns for compatibility with REV and goBILDA components, plus additional M4 holes on the top and bottom for side mounting.
- Output Shaft Flexibility: Comes standard with a 7mm hex socket. Can be replaced with a 5mm adapter for compatibility with the REV Motion system.
- Full FTC compatibility: The motor and gearbox are officially approved for use in FIRST Tech Challenge competitions.
Technical data:
- Gear ratio: 139:1
- Output speed: ~43 rpm (at 6000 motor rpm)
- Output torque: ~204.33 kg·cm
- Gearbox type: Planetary, 3 stages
- Motor type: SWYFT Spike (550 motor, 6000 RPM, 12V)
- Encoder: 2-channel quadrature, 28 pulses per revolution (PPR), compatible with 3.3V and 5V.
For whom: For FTC teams that need a drive for mechanisms that handle large masses or require significant force: end-game elevators, powerful intakes for heavy components, hinge joints for large manipulators, etc.
