Description
The RoboClaw 2x7A Motor Controller provides precise control of the speed, direction, and position of two brushed DC motors. The controller supports open-loop and closed-loop operation, including positional and velocity control modes. Control is possible via USB, RC radio, PWM, TTL serial, analog signal or microcontrollers (Arduino, Raspberry Pi).
- Channel power: 7.5A continuously, up to 15A peak per channel
- Logic support: 3.3V and 5V tolerant
- Encoder control: two quadrature encoders up to 19.6 million pulses/s, autotuning via Ion Studio
- Control modes: position, speed, acceleration/deceleration, distance, current and voltage limits
- External sensor support: potentiometers, absolute encoders, travel/home switches, emergency stops
- Built-in BEC: 5V, up to 1.2A for powering peripherals
- Protection: temperature, current, Over/under voltage, LiPo cutoff, self-diagnostics
- Adjustable parameters: maximum current, minimum/maximum battery voltage
- Regenerative braking: charges the battery during deceleration or braking
- Control method: USB, analog signal, RS232 or RC PWM
- Weight and installation: compact module, easy to integrate into projects with microcontrollers
RoboClaw 2x7A provides absolute control of the speed, direction and position of motors, regardless of load changes. The ability to work with a wide range of sensors and battery protection makes it an ideal choice for robotics and automated systems.
